    What You Should Know:

    – VitVio, an AI-powered platform designed to autonomously coordinate surgical staff and flag procedural delays secures $8M in seed funding round  led by Bek Ventures and joined by LDV Capital, Balnord.

    – The funding brings the company’s total funding to $10M and will be used to aggressively scale the platform across U.S. hospitals.

The Core Problem: Costly Surgical Inefficiency

Hospitals face a perfect storm of rising operational costs, personnel shortages, and increasing patient demand. At the epicenter of this financial strain is the OR. Inefficiencies in resource utilization, scheduling, and case turnover contribute an estimated $1,800 in unplanned costs per surgery, translating to about $1.4 million annually for just a single operating room.

Traditional perioperative management relies on manual tracking and fragmented systems that fail to provide real-time, actionable insights. VitVio was founded to directly address this gap by digitizing the surgical environment to deliver the efficiency and financial visibility that hospital leaders desperately need.

How VitVio’s AI Digitizes the Operating Room

VitVio’s platform leverages advanced technology to create an “intelligent system” that eliminates administrative load and orchestrates human workflows autonomously.

    • Real-Time 3D Digitization: The platform utilizes AI, computer vision, and ambient sensing to digitize operating rooms in real-time, capturing granular data on who is doing what, when, and where. All patient data is anonymized at the point of capture and handled with end-to-end encryption.
    • Autonomous Staff Coordination: AI agents automate routine tasks, such as automatically logging surgical phases (incision, wound closure, etc.). The system uses this real-time input to autonomously coordinate staff, ensuring they are aligned and informed across the entire perioperative process.
    • Predictive Operations: The platform issues dynamic alerts for deviations from standard procedure and provides real-time estimates for case completion. This predictive capability allows perioperative leaders to adjust resources and schedules instantly, reducing costly turnover delays.
    • Actionable Insights: By integrating a secure dashboard into hospital information systems, VitVio provides clear data on utilization, case flow, and resource allocation, allowing hospitals to identify bottlenecks and strengthen scheduling precision, ultimately reducing waste.
