How UCI Health and GW RhythmX Are Rewiring the Patient Experience –

    What You Should Know:

    – RhythmX, the industry’s leading AI-native company revolutionizing care delivery, patient engagement and health system financial performance announced today that UCI Health has implemented the Get Well comprehensive patient engagement solution at its newest state-of-the-art hospital campus in Irvine, CA.

    –  The new hospital is a 350,000-square-foot, 144-bed facility that completes the $1.3 billion medical campus.

Defining a New Standard for AI-Enabled Inpatient and Post-Acute Care

Get Well and RhythmX AI have merged to form GW RhythmX, creating a new category of AI-powered precision care and patient engagement. The combined organization brings together market-leading AI precision care technology with deep, trusted patient engagement expertise—enabling health systems to deliver the right care, at the right time, through the right clinician and channel. Today, GW RhythmX solutions are deployed across more than 150 health systems, reaching over 85 million patients, including 8 million U.S. military veterans.

UCI Health has selected Get Well Stay to unify bedside technology and deliver a more personalized inpatient experience. The platform integrates education, entertainment, and real-time communication to improve outcomes while reducing staff workload—supporting a consistent, patient-centered experience across key UCI Health facilities.

    Measurable Outcomes Through Integrated Engagement

Through this collaboration, UCI Health is introducing Smart Room technology, personalized procedural care plans, and tailored post-discharge navigation tools. These capabilities are designed to empower patients with real-time information, streamline care team workflows, and ensure continuity from admission through recovery.

Across comparable deployments, health systems using Get Well Stay have demonstrated meaningful improvements in quality and financial performance, including:

    • 22% fewer 30-day readmissions
    • 63% fewer hospital-acquired infections
    • Millions of dollars in avoided penalties tied to falls prevention

As part of the broader engagement strategy, UCI Health will also implement Get Well Loop, which delivers step-by-step guidance across care episodes to improve adherence and support safer transitions. Organizations using Get Well Loop have reported substantial operational and clinical gains, including 50% fewer inbound care-related calls, 37% fewer procedure cancellations and no-shows, and a 67% relative reduction in 90-day post-discharge readmissions—underscoring how digital engagement can simultaneously elevate patient experience, care coordination, and system efficiency.

“UCI Health is setting a clear example for how forward-thinking health systems can leverage digital innovation to deliver measurable ROI,” said Deepthi Bathina, CEO of GW RhythmX. “We’re proud to partner with UCI Health as they raise the bar for patient-centered care with the precision and AI-driven capabilities needed for the next generation of digital health.”

The UCI Health rollout aligns with Get Well’s broader mission to support leading health systems nationwide with scalable, AI-ready, and AI-fueled engagement solutions. By integrating these platforms, UCI Health aims to strengthen patient activation and loyalty, improve outcomes, and accelerate returns on investments made for patients, families, and the communities they serve.
