Yeti has been one of my go-to brands for some time now. I’ve somehow ended up with an on-the-go water bottle, two different Rambler tumblers, a Hopper rucksack cooler and a Flip Mini soft cooler, and — in the summer especially — there’s rarely an excursion where I’m not accompanied by at least one of them. Oh, and I’ve also bought a number of tumblers and bottles as gifts.
The water bottle is — so far — completely leakproof, and sturdy enough to sling in a bag without worrying, and the carry handle is convenient to hold if I want to be able to sip on the go. The tumblers are equally robust, and feature one of the cleverest bits of engineering I’ve seen in a while: the sip slider is attached magnetically, so you can remove it for more thorough cleaning.
The coolers are similarly well designed, with features like loops for hooking on gear, leak-proof zips and snappable magnetic closures to extend their versatility. The insulation on all my Yeti kit is excellent, too — whether it’s keeping my decanted coffees hot or my picnic lunch cool in the summer, none of it has let me down yet.
