Funding to accelerate innovation and growth following a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Carna Health, a digital health company revolutionizing kidney care, today announced an $8M capital raise to expand global access to its kidney screening technology. The round included participation from Dr. Jay Rosan, Cenk Bekmezçi, Jose Pereyra, Mark Boulding, Brandon Salomon, Andrew Roosevelt, Jeff Lindsey, Joseph White, John Brooks, Elvis Ndansi, and Dr. Salvatore Viscomi.

“This funding enables us to continue global expansion, offering a transformative digital health platform that expands access to comprehensive chronic kidney disease (CKD) care. By integrating AI-driven solutions for early identification, monitoring, and patient management, we’re empowering patients and healthcare providers to navigate care pathways more effectively,” said Salvatore Viscomi, MD, Chief Executive Officer.

The raise follows Carna Health’s recent strategic agreement with Siemens Healthineers, aimed at expanding access to preventative kidney care globally. By combining Carna Health’s digital platform with Siemens Healthineers’ global point-of-care diagnostics infrastructure, the partnership is helping bring these efforts to scale. Together with Siemens Healthineers and NeoDocs, Carna Health recently completed an initiative in Cameroon that enrolled 35,000 individuals across the Southwest and Littoral regions.

Compelling data emerging from Carna Health CKD screening programs demonstrates that large-scale, cost-effective screening can uncover widespread, silent disease and create critical opportunities for early intervention. This evidence strengthens Carna Health’s commitment to expanding this model to more communities around the world.

“Chronic diseases present significant challenges, including late diagnoses and inadequate management. This funding will enable us to accelerate Carna Health’s mission to provide effective, accessible tools that empower both patients and healthcare clinicians to tackle these challenges head-on,” said Dr. Jay Rosan. “Our goal is to show that Carna Health’s platform can be seamlessly implemented worldwide and integrated with any health system, ensuring we reach as many people as possible.”

Carna Health plans to launch multiple programs in the Philippines in partnership with major cities and leading healthcare systems, with a national initiative also under development in the Dominican Republic. Looking ahead, Carna Health also intends to expand its footprint into the United States and Turkey.

“Reliable distribution and operational readiness are fundamental to the success of population health programs. Carna Health has developed a robust platform that functions effectively across diverse markets and infrastructure levels,” said Cenk Bekmezçi, investor. “Reaching this funding milestone enables a more coordinated, scalable approach to chronic disease management. We are pleased to partner with Carna Health to introduce this innovative solution to the Turkish market.”

Carna Health’s leadership in kidney health innovation has earned international recognition, including selection for the United Nations–supported AI for Good publication, inclusion in the textbook Innovations in Nephrology: Breakthrough Technologies in Kidney Disease Care, and recognition as a finalist in the Fierce Life Sciences Innovation Awards.
