While it’s a great watch for skiers and orienteers, it really is a spectacular running watch. I love this thing: I used the 47mm version to run the London Marathon in 2024, comparing its statistics to the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and finding no statistically significant differences across the 26.2 mile route.
Having been totally subsumed by the introduction of AMOLED to the Garmin Fenix line, the Epix series won’t be around for much longer, which is why it’s at such a significant discount. Get it while you can!
