The American Diabetes Association’s Scientific Sessions provided a glimpse into future technologies and treatments. The conference, which was held from June 20 to June 23 in Chicago, featured updates from diabetes technology firms, discussions on new medications and a debate on over-the-counter glucose monitors.

Companies including Abbott and Senseonics provided updates on their plans for future glucose sensors, while Medtronic, Tandem Diabetes Care and Beta Bionics discussed efforts to develop patch pumps.

Several firms also struck partnerships, with Abbott announcing planned integrations with Tandem and Sequel Med Tech around a dual analyte sensor it plans to launch next year.

Here is MedTech Dive’s coverage of the conference.
