Oatmeal Health and Coreline Soft Partner to Distribute AI-Powered Lung Cancer Screening in U.S.

    What You Should Know:

    – Oatmeal Health and Coreline Soft, a publicly traded leader in AI imaging from South Korea and the U.S., have partnered to co-develop and distribute AI-powered lung cancer screening solutions across the U.S.

    – The strategic collaboration aims to accelerate equitable access to early detection and screening for the communities that need it most.

Expanding Lung Cancer Screening Access in FQHCs

According to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America, lung cancer kills more people than colon, breast, and prostate cancer combined. However, only 5.8% of eligible patients are screened, and underserved populations face the worst access to care.

Oatmeal Health’s platform provides AI-powered, reimbursed, zero-cost screening solutions specifically for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and cancer centers. The company is already deploying these solutions directly inside FQHCs in California, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts, and is identifying and screening thousands of high-risk patients who would otherwise be missed. This approach is designed to meet communities where they are with precision care and no added burden on clinical teams.

Coreline Soft’s platform is already integrated into major U.S. health systems and supports a large volume of low-dose CT scans each year. With the guidance of Jim Baranski, Executive Director of the Lung Cancer Foundation of America, the companies are aligning clinical, advocacy, and payer stakeholders to ensure that their solution can be scaled effectively.

How the Oatmeal Health Platform Works

The platform uses a seamless, automated workflow to support both patients and healthcare providers:

    • Patient Identification: AI finds high-risk, eligible patients in the EHR.
    • Virtual Visits: A Nurse Practitioner (NP) conducts virtual visits to provide shared decision-making.
    • Reimbursement: Health Centers and imaging providers can bill for the overread using new AI CPT codes (0721T), which are reimbursed at approximately $650 per scan.
    • Revenue Sharing: The zero-cost, zero-hassle model for providers includes a risk-based revenue sharing agreement.

    Projected Impact/Cost Savings

The collaboration is projected to save an estimated $300,000 to $500,000 per early detection of lung cancer, and most importantly, it can save lives. Oatmeal Health is currently raising capital to activate national distribution, expand its FQHC footprint, and finalize its FDA CADx submission, which is targeted for the first quarter of 2026.
