Closing the Gap Between “Question” and “Action”
When an employee wakes up with a mysterious rash or a sudden fever, they don’t want to log into a benefits portal to read about their deductible; they want to talk to a doctor. CirrusMD solves this immediate consumer demand. The platform offers a chat-first virtual care experience that connects members to a physician in under 60 seconds, 24/7/365. By baking this capability directly into Quantum Health’s navigation app, the company is removing the friction between asking a question and receiving clinical care.
“Our virtual care platform was built to remove barriers to care by giving people immediate and affordable access to trusted physicians,” noted Jamie Hall, Chief Executive Officer of CirrusMD. “By joining Quantum Health, we can extend that impact even further by integrating real-time physician care directly into the navigation experience and helping millions of members move seamlessly from question to action.”
The Agentic AI Engine
Scaling a 60-second virtual care model across 20 million covered lives requires serious computational leverage. Quantum Health is integrating CirrusMD via a newly deployed agentic AI platform. Unlike passive AI that simply summarizes text, agentic AI operates with a degree of autonomy to execute workflows. In this context, the AI proactively identifies care opportunities and surfaces “next best actions” to the care coordinators and the newly acquired physicians.
By combining this AI layer with Quantum’s existing integration with Embold Health (which provides clinically validated data on provider quality), the platform can instantly route a patient from a quick late-night chat consult to a high-quality, in-network specialist for follow-up care.
“Healthcare needs to work earlier, faster and cost less,” said Dayne Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Health. “By bringing CirrusMD’s physician-led virtual care directly into our navigation model, we are fundamentally strengthening Real-Time Intercept by engaging members sooner.”
