SimonMed Imaging Launches AI-Powered Personalized Breast Cancer Detection Program

    What You Should Know:

    – SimonMed Imaging, one of the nation’s largest outpatient medical imaging providers, announced the launch of a new digital health platform, powered by Cascaid Health to ensure women complete vital follow-up imaging after mammography.

    – Studies show that up to 30% of women miss recommended follow-up imaging, a gap the new platform aims to close.

Closing the Follow-Up Gap in Women’s Health

SimonMed Imaging is addressing a persistent and critical challenge in women’s health: the failure of patients to complete recommended follow-up imaging after mammography screening. This gap is particularly dangerous for women with dense breast tissue or those considered high-risk, where subsequent ultrasound or MRI is essential for early breast cancer detection. The reasons for this failure rate—up to 30% in some cases—often stem from unclear next steps, a lack of information, or logistical barriers.

Dr. John Simon, Founder and CEO of SimonMed Imaging, emphasized the stakes: “Early detection only saves lives if it’s followed by timely action. Studies show up to 30% of women don’t receive recommended follow-up imaging after a high-risk or inconclusive mammogram — a gap that can mean the difference between catching a cancer early or too late.”

    AI-Powered Personalization: A Netflix-Style Experience for Imaging

The new digital health platform, powered by technology from Cascaid Health, transforms static medical reports into a personalized, interactive mobile experience. Building on SimonMed’s existing AI-enhanced Mammogram+ program (which analyzes breast density and lifetime risk scores), the mobile platform offers features that go far beyond standard paper or PDF results:

    • Interactive Reports: Patients can view results and watch short educational videos.
    • AI Guidance: Features an AI health guide and instant connection to a human navigator for scheduling or questions.
    • Personalization: Delivers an intuitive, data-driven experience that brings together each woman’s imaging and health history.

“Early detection is just the starting point. By pairing SimonMed’s diagnostic expertise with Cascaid’s integrated technology, we’re transforming imaging results into actionable insights that empower women to act early, stay engaged, and take control of their long-term health,” said Rakesh Patel, MD, Founder and CEO of Cascaid Health.
