The Coros Pace 3 is better value than almost any Garmin watch you can find – I’d set an alert for the Black Friday deals

We’re big fans of Coros watches here at TechRadar. The Coros Pace 4 is the latest watch to be released, replacing the much-loved Coros Pace 3. It’s even on the wrist of legendary marathon runner Eliot Kipchoge (although he’s sponsored by Coros, so this might not be entirely coincidental), and when we’re done with our review, it’s likely to make our list of the best running watches for 2026.

We’ve got reviews of the whole new range in the pipeline, but one of the watches we’re most excited about is now a couple of years old. With the Coros Pace 4 being released, it’s likely the Coros Pace 3 will drop in price in the early Black Friday deals.

The Coros Pace 3 isn’t really a lifestyle watch in the way an Apple Watch Series 11 or Garmin Venu 4 might be: it’s firmly a training tool. Eschewing metal for plastic (it’s cheaper and lighter) and featuring a low-power memory-in-pixel display for longer battery life at the expense of brightness, the Coros Pace 3 is extremely light at just 30g with a nylon band and under 12mm thick.

It weighs the same as a slender Fitbit Charge 6, a whole 13g less than the smallest Garmin Venu 4 and less than half of an Apple Watch Ultra 3, so those with slim wrists who don’t want a chunky, weighty adventure watch will feel right at home with it.

It’s got a ton of metrics for the price, including sleep, recovery, five satellite networks, stride information, and more. It can also last up to 24 days, as opposed to an Apple Watch’s 24 hours. True, it doesn’t have Apple’s stellar screen, operating system, and communication features, but if all you want is a reliable training companion you don’t have to charge for weeks, the Coros Pace 3 is absolutely a great choice.

Best of all? It’s cheap. Really, really cheap. At $229 / £219 / AU$399, it’s an outrageous value for the amount of features you get, and with the Pace 4 having just been released, it’s likely to drop even lower. Below, you can see our Coros Pace 3 live price widget, which automatically finds the best deals for you at the moment.

If this watch drops to under $199 / £199 / AU$349, I’d recommend you buy it immediately. While representing excellent value as is (it’s currently top of our best cheap running watch list), any lower and Coros is practically paying you to take it.

If it’s good enough for record-breaker Kipchoge to wear during his marathons, it’s certainly good enough for us mere mortals and our sluggish Sunday 10-kilometer ‘long runs’.
