Yes, we know many dedicated runners have been pounding the sidewalk all through winter, and well done and congratulations to you. But just as many of us swerve outdoor fitness over the winter months, either in favour of the gym, home workouts, or just giving up entirely.
Fortunately, with the long winter months finally coming to an end, the days are getting longer, lighter, and warmer. It’s finally time to start running again, and if you don’t already have one of the best running watches or best Garmin watches, it’s time to pick one up.
The Garmin Vivoactive 6 is available right now, discounted from $299.99 down to just $249.99 on Amazon. That’s a $50 discount just in time for President’s Day, and back down to its lowest price ever, making it just as cheap as it was on Black Friday. It’s got tons of features for runners, such as Garmin’s virtual pacing software, PacePro, to keep you on track during runs, as well as Garmin’s splendid suite of recovery and fitness metrics.
While it doesn’t have all of Garmin’s running features, such as Hill Scores, Endurance Scores, and so on, its low price and unobtrusive fitness tracker-esque design lend themselves well to its positioning as an everyday fitness and recovery tool. Wear it to the gym, wear it to bed, and go out for runs with it on to get a complete picture of your health.

Today’s best Garmin Vivoactive 6 deal
In my review, I said the Garmin Vivoactive 6 was „stuffed full of advanced features like a smart wake alarm, the ability to follow courses and routes, Garmin’s PacePro virtual pacing feature for runners, nap detection, and loads more.
„It only comes in a single size, but it’s an ideal AMOLED Garmin watch for active people who like to run, and a great Apple Watch alternative for those who like the idea of over a week of battery life.“
If you like the idea of a fairly inexpensive watch with lots of running features, but you also want it to be very light and serve as a general fitness tracker as well as a running watch, the Vivoactive 6 is for you. However, if you’re getting deeper into running and want a more powerful watch, you’ll be better off with a Forerunner. I used the 265 below to see me through my first marathon.
