CliniComp Receives FDA 510(k) Clearance for EHR-Integrated PACS Viewer

    What You Should Know

    • CliniComp received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for its PACS Viewer as a Medical Image Management and Processing System (MIMPS).
    • The clearance enables diagnostic-quality image viewing, manipulation, and advanced processing directly within CliniComp’s New Era EHR with Native AI Solution Suite.
    • By eliminating application switching between standalone PACS and EHR systems, clinicians can review imaging alongside vital signs, laboratory results, medications, and clinical history within a single chart.
    • Combined with embedded native AI workflows, the platform correlates imaging studies with real-time clinical context to automatically prioritize high-acuity cases.
    • Led by CEO Chris Haudenschild, the milestone extends CliniComp’s enterprise architecture into diagnostic imaging, backed by its System as a Service (SYaaS) delivery model.

CliniComp Secures FDA Clearance for EHR-Integrated Diagnostic PACS

CliniComp has secured FDA 510(k) clearance for its PACS Viewer as a Medical Image Management and Processing System (MIMPS). By embedding diagnostic-grade imaging directly into its New Era EHR with Native AI Solution Suite, the platform eliminates the need for clinicians to switch between separate PACS and EHR applications during patient care.

Breaking the Silo Between EHR and Diagnostic Radiology

Historically, health systems have operated imaging software in isolation from primary clinical documentation. This separation forces physicians to toggle between disconnected tools, interrupting clinical focus and separating diagnostic images from real-time patient metrics like lab values, active medication regimens, and vital sign trends.

CliniComp’s integrated MIMPS clearance addresses this fragmentation by unifying image manipulation, clinical documentation, and longitudinal data into a single patient chart:

    • Diagnostic-Grade Viewing Inside the EHR: Enables physicians to analyze, manipulate, and process high-fidelity imaging studies directly within the patient record without requiring external viewer plugins or secondary software logins.
    • Unified Clinical Context: Displays imaging studies alongside real-time laboratory outputs, active medication lists, vital sign trends, and historical clinical notes to provide complete point-of-care context.
    • Native AI Correlation & Triaging: Leverages embedded AI to cross-reference imaging findings with active clinical data points, automatically identifying and prioritizing high-acuity studies for faster clinical intervention.
    • System as a Service (SYaaS) Delivery: Built on CliniComp’s zero-planned-downtime architecture, offering continuous enterprise deployment across inpatient, ambulatory, and specialty environments without local client installation overhead.

“Healthcare organizations have spent decades managing separate clinical, imaging, and administrative systems,” said Chris Haudenschild, CEO of CliniComp. “With FDA clearance of our PACS Viewer, we’re extending our unified EHR strategy to enterprise imaging, allowing clinicians to access diagnostic-quality imaging, advanced image processing, patient data, and native AI capabilities from a single platform. This creates a more integrated and connected enterprise experience for providers and a stronger foundation for patient care.”
