Elation Health Cuts Chart Review Time 61% With Anthropic’s Claude AI –

    What You Should Know:

    – Elation Health, the clinical-first technology company powering innovation in primary care, today announced that its Clinical Insights solution has moved to Claude Haiku 4.5 by Anthropic, the leading artificial intelligence research and development company with an emphasis on responsible AI.

    – Clinical Insights delivers summaries of a patient’s health story to clinicians at the point of care, using Claude’s speed and long-context reasoning for safe, accurate synthesis of longitudinal patient data.

Claude Enters the Primary Care Workflow: Elation Embeds Anthropic AI Directly Into the EHR

Primary care clinicians often walk into visits carrying the cognitive burden of dense, fragmented patient records—longitudinal histories, labs, medications, and notes that must be synthesized in minutes. Elation Health’s latest integration with Anthropic is designed to change that dynamic by delivering fast, trusted chart intelligence exactly where clinicians already work.

By embedding Claude directly into Elation’s clinical-first EHR, the partnership gives primary care teams a swift, focused view of each patient’s chart before and during visits—surfacing the most relevant clinical details from otherwise complex records, with clear traceability back to the source.

“Primary care clinicians are under immense pressure to manage complex, longitudinal care with limited time,” said Mike Krieger, Chief Product Officer at Anthropic. The collaboration with Elation focuses on embedding intelligence—not adding another layer of tooling—so insights fit naturally into existing workflows while meeting the safety and reliability expectations of regulated healthcare environments.

The integration combines Elation’s nationwide primary care footprint with Anthropic’s track record in high-stakes AI deployments. Since launching its clinical-first AI platform in August 2025, Elation has seen rapid uptake across its network, with Clinical Insights quickly emerging as the platform’s fastest-adopted AI capability.

Early Impact of Claude-Powered Clinical Insights

Claude now exclusively powers Clinical Insights, Elation’s feature that synthesizes longitudinal patient data—including problem lists, medications, recent visit notes, labs, vitals, and immunizations—into concise, cited summaries designed to support point-of-care decision making.

Key early signals since the migration to Claude include:

    • Faster answers at the point of care: With Claude Haiku 4.5, time-to-first-insight has dropped significantly, supported by streaming responses clinicians can read as they are generated.
    • Rapid clinician adoption: Usage of Clinical Insights has doubled since moving to Claude, underscoring demand for workflow-aligned intelligence that reduces cognitive load rather than adding friction.
    • Higher-quality chart synthesis: Internal evaluations show improved understanding of clinical nuance and faster response times compared with Elation’s previous approach—supporting safer, more timely insights.
    • Personalization without disruption: Clinicians can tailor summaries using Quick Action buttons (for example, “summarize last three visits”), set custom instructions, choose automatic or on-demand generation, and move seamlessly between AI summaries, the full patient record, and visit notes.

All Clinical Insights experiences run within Elation’s HIPAA-compliant infrastructure and generative AI governance framework, with clear citations and visual cues designed to keep physicians firmly in control of clinical decisions.

Clinical Insights is now generally available on Elation Health at no additional charge, with ongoing updates planned to further improve speed, usability, and clinical impact. Elation and Anthropic leaders are also set to discuss the integration at the upcoming 2026 J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, signaling how embedded, clinician-first AI is moving from pilot to standard practice in primary care.
