GE HealthCare and Stanford Radiology Renew Collaboration to Establish COE

    What You Should Know

    • The Partnership: GE HealthCare and the Stanford Medicine Department of Radiology have renewed their decades-long collaboration, officially establishing a joint Center of Excellence to accelerate translational research.
    • The Clinical Scope: The new hub will focus heavily on magnetic resonance (MR), computed tomography (CT), molecular imaging, interventional radiology, and pharmaceutical diagnostics.
    • The PCCT Push: A major focus of the center will be advancing the clinical application of GE’s newly FDA-cleared Photonova™ Spectra, a next-generation photon-counting CT system powered by proprietary Deep Silicon detectors.
    • The AI Integration: Beyond hardware, the teams are leveraging machine learning to overhaul the operational side of radiology. This includes developing AI-driven software to evaluate diagnostic images, optimize protocols, and streamline scheduling tools.
