Name: Felicia Kurz
New title: Vice president and general manager of cardiac ablation solutions, Medtronic
Felicia Kurz is the new vice president and general manager of the cardiac ablation solutions business at Medtronic.
A Medtronic spokesperson confirmed the appointment, which was first announced on LinkedIn by Rebecca Seidel, Medtronic’s president of electrophysiology therapies. Cardiac ablation solutions is one of several businesses within the electrophysiology therapies division at Medtronic.
Kurz joined Medtronic following a decade at Siemens Healthineers, where she most recently was senior vice president and head of advanced therapies for North America, according to her LinkedIn profile. The business included angiography, hemodynamics and mobile imaging equipment. Before that, she was Siemens Healthineers’ head of strategy and business development for the Americas.
“Felicia joins us with an impressive track record of leadership and innovation in healthcare,” Seidel said in her LinkedIn post. “Her experience spans commercial, strategy, business development, and global team leadership, making her exceptionally well positioned for this next chapter.”
Seidel previously was Medtronic’s president of cardiac ablation solutions, before being named president of electrophysiology therapies in June, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Medtronic recently reorganized its cardiovascular portfolio into four divisions: electrophysiology therapies, interventional cardiology therapies, cardiovascular surgery and peripheral vascular health. Strength in cardiac ablation solutions helped propel revenue in the cardiovascular unit to $3.93 billion, up nearly 20% year over year, in Medtronic’s fiscal first quarter. Cardiac ablation solutions revenue surged 88% on demand for the company’s pulsed field ablation devices.
