    What You Should Know

    • Healthcare AI workforce platform Notable has named Dr. Nicholas Desai as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO), adding extensive executive health system leadership across clinical technology, acute operations, and quality.
    • Dr. Desai joins Notable directly from Houston Methodist, where his career spanned dual executive tracks across system-wide clinical informatics and hospital-level operating responsibility:
      • Served as system-wide Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO).
      • Held hospital C-suite roles including Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and Chief Quality Officer (CQO).
      • Most recently led the development, opening, and clinical-technological integration of Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital.
    • Dr. Desai will partner directly with health system Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, and CMIOs to align clinical priorities, design adoptable automated workflows, and measure return on investment across patient access, care delivery, and workforce productivity.

    Operationalizing Notable’s “System of Work”

At Notable, Dr. Desai will collaborate with health system C-suites, CMOs, and clinical operational leaders to translate AI agent capabilities into enterprise operating performance—targeting patient access bottlenecks, registration overhead, and clinical scheduling frictions.

Notable positions its technology as a System of Work, combining autonomous AI agents with human-in-the-loop oversight to execute administrative tasks across existing EHRs without requiring manual staff data entry:

    • Patient Access & Care Operations: Automates scheduling, digital pre-registration, intake data extraction, and clinical outreach to fill provider schedules and reduce appointment lead times.
    • EHR Task Completion: Directs AI agents to carry routine administrative tasks from initial request through EHR documentation and verification without adding burden to nursing or registration teams.
    • Change Management Within Budget Realities: Focuses deployments on existing staffing and IT architectures, avoiding lengthy custom software overhauls.

Dr. Nicholas Desai emphasized operational accountability: “The measure of AI will not be intelligence. It will be impact. For a health system, that means whether patients get care sooner, whether teams have more capacity, and whether work gets completed reliably. Having led both enterprise technology and hospital operations, I know deployment is only the beginning. Joining Notable gives me the opportunity to help more organizations turn what technology makes possible into how they operate every day.”
