    • The Garmin Fenix 8 Pro has leaked again
    • LTE support and a microLED screen are likely
    • We might see a launch any day now

Since the launch of the rather excellent Garmin Fenix 8 last year, we’ve been hearing rumors about an even more premium model – and it looks as though two new Fenix 8 Pro editions have leaked on Garmin’s own website.

As per some digging by users on Reddit (via Notebookcheck), there are images for both the Fenix 8 Pro and the Fenix 8 Pro microLED on the Garmin US website. We don’t get too much information about them, but it seems a launch must now be imminent.

One little tidbit we can glean from this leak is that the microLED version is described as „the brightest smartwatch ever built“, so we have high hopes for the display. Last year, Garmin signed a contract with Vuzix to supply these microLED screens.

Meanwhile the standard Pro has the tagline „SOS on your wrist is here“, which sounds like some kind of emergency call feature. This fits in with what’s previously been rumored about Garmin’s watches getting LTE support for the first time.

    What to expect

Given the pace at which Garmin rumors are ramping up, a launch for the Fenix 8 Pro and Fenix 8 Pro microLED could happen in a matter of days – and of course as soon as Garmin makes any of this official, we’ll let you know.

Only a few days ago, a separate Garmin Fenix 8 Pro leak pointed to LTE connectivity and four new subscription tiers: these tiers are likely to be an extension of the existing InReach service, giving you various features over cellular and satellite networks.

With the backlash to the Garmin Connect+ premium tier announcement still fresh in the memory, it might not be the best time for Garmin to be introducing more subscriptions, but we’ll reserve judgment until we see the details and the pricing.

In our review, we described the Fenix 8 as „the ultimate watch for adventure enthusiasts, with a smorgasbord of hardware and software features and a battery that lasts for weeks“ – and it looks as though it’s about to get even better, for a price.
