The other big advantage of this ring is its circadian alignment guide and caffeine window features.

By monitoring metrics like your sleep, activity, and when you ingest caffeine (remember to log that last one), the app can offer a timeline and AI-powered insights to nudge your lifestyle in a healthy direction.

For example, it might suggest shifting your evening meal time earlier, advising you on when to stop drinking caffeine so you sleep better, or offering tips on when to be more active to help you control your stress and energy levels.

Plus, it offers all the usual useful tools, including SpO2 and heart rate monitoring, hydration and step reminders, and fertility-tracking (though I’m unable to test that last one and can’t speak for how effective it is).

As with some other smart rings, the Luna Ring Gen 2 isn’t tuned to help people who are training for a marathon or who are generally very fitness-minded – think folks who will hit the gym for intense workouts multiple times a week, or enjoy hours-long bike rides across the countryside.

Instead, it’s a health helper for folks who are more casual exercisers – jog, walk, do light gym workouts a couple times a week – and who want more general healthy living tips to help them sleep better and lower their stress levels.
